Mario A. Scicluna Hall Of Fame Induction
We are proud to announce that our own, Mario Scicluna will be Inducted into the Michigan Soccer Association (MSA) “Hall Of Fame” today February 2nd, 2019
For anyone in Michigan's Soccer Community, when you hear the name Mario Scicluna you think Soccer. He has helped mold soccer and the community around it into something bigger than anyone could have imagined. Today his name will be put into History, but Everyday following, he will keep building on what he's already accomplished. Here are some of the many things he's done in his Soccer Career.
He created numerous Soccer Programs, Coached, and Played on many great teams. He is one of the Founding Members of the MASL (Major Arena Soccer League), and also BOD Member. He helped take Detroit Waza Flo (PASL) to become the 2008 National Champions. Mario was a Player & Coach on the US Arena National Team in the Arena World Cup. He played on the 2017 US National Team against Mexico in the Major League Futsal (MLF) Championships in Salt Lake City. Mario coached the Men's Schoolcraft College Soccer Team, as well as, the Women's Team at Marygrove College. His current positions include, President of the Detroit Waza Flo, which includes an MASL2 Men’s Team, PASL Men’s Team, and a PASL Women’s Team. He is President and Coach with the Waza FC Youth Club.
He isn't just changing soccer here in the state of Michigan. He has developed programs in New York, Nigeria, Uganda, and Kenya. Mario A. Scicluna hasn't only changed Soccer in Michigan, but he is shaping it World Wide.
