ROAD WOES CONTINUE AS FLO LOSE IN ROCHESTER, 7-3

ROCHESTER, NY - The Detroit Waza Flo were unable to build on their momentum as they fell to the Rochester Lancers, 7-3, in New York.

In their home opener, the Lancers came out firing in front of a raucous sold-out crowd as they netted the first three goals of the contest courtesy of Boomer Stiegelman (2) and Luis Hidalgo. Detroit rookie, Khalid Suleiman, got the Flo on the board midway through the second quarter before the Lancers added a pair of goals to their tally via MASL veteran Jake Schindler to take a 5-1 advantage into the break.

Suleiman reignited the visitors' efforts by cutting into the advantage to begin the final half only to see Rochester score another two goals, this time from Gary Boughton and Michael Cunningham. Another Waza rookie, Ramiro Sauceda, scored late in the match but their efforts fell short as they dropped their third contest of the young M2 season by a final score of 7-3.

Detroit drops to 1-3 on the season as both these teams face off again next Saturday, January 12th in Detroit as the Flo look for revenge in the Detroit City Fieldhouse.
